Eucalyptus, Silver Drop, Eucalyptus gunni - 25 seeds avg.
This is one of our favorite bouquet fillers. We like it because of its small leaves and beautiful coloring.
Planting Tips:
- Full sun.
- 24"-36" height,
- Summer annual.
- Start indoors.
- Plant in the garden after last danger of frost has past and the soil has begun to warm, typically a couple of weeks after the last frost date.
- Cover seed; 14-21 days to germinate.
- Great cuts, drought tolerant.
Harvesting Tips:
- Harvest foliage when stem length desired.
- Make the harvest cut at the base of the stem.

Excellent germination and so far seedlings look great!

I have had very little luck with getting the eucalyptus seeds to grow. I started them indoors on a heat mat, under lights and have only had 1 germinate so far. If you have any tips I would really appreciate it!

Kristy they are painful slow to sprout. I start in January for April planting. The challenge is to not over or under water, keep warm but not hot, and give 16 hours of light a day. Worth the work, this year we had great success, last year so/so, it’s just a more difficult plant to grow from seed.
