Do you mean with soil? only if they require darkness to sprout. Or do you mean with a dome? I have experimented laying plastic wrap on the blocks to trap moisture on small seeds had fairly good success.
Hello! I’m so excited to apply all these bits of wisdom to my balcony garden this year! I made my own soil blocker last year (making one at a time is not fun), and loved the results so much, I finally bought some soil blockers this year. I’ve just got my cold hardy veggies germinated (90%) and getting some light, and am excited to continue with everything else. The watering technique, separate tray logic and timing with the blocks ( I noticed everything seemed to happen so much faster) were key info for me, which I’m sure will make this year so much more successful!

Do you ever cover any of your flowers/veggies seeds when using g soil blocks?
