Getting Ready

Because we where expecting a good rain last night I got busy in my fall planted beds yesterday. I had left the floating row covers on for the winter in an "attempt" to teach my new Golden Retriever where not to walk in the garden–we are going to plan B–I removed them to find a great stand of plants and also a share of weeds.

I hoed the pathways and hand weeded the beds and put down many bags of leaves I had collected in the pathways. What a delightful sight and feeling. The rain hit it all last night and I can’t wait to go out this morning and see my happy plants.

Weeding now while they are immature is not quite the job it will be in a month- get busy! Seed starting next week-
