Here’s where you find more information about how The Gardener’s Workshop got started, as well as articles about and by us. And for a little inspiration, have a peek at our Photo Gallery!
Do you usually go straight from mini soil block to the ground or do you repot the mini soil block grown plants into a bigger size soil block before they get big enough to go in the ground?
I am getting ready to start seed blocking. Your seed packets tell whether to cover the seed or not. Other seed packets do not have this info. Is there a rule of thumb to tell me when to cover and when to leave uncovered?
Is your “Blocking Mix, Orgamic Soil” the same mix you sold at the PA Mother Earth News Fair last September? I want the mix that I combine with compost, peat/soil and water.
I had great success with the seeds I started this spring and want to restock supplies.
What a great product along with the block forms!
Our plants are late this year in Northern Ohio. The peonies are just starting to bud.
I hope you enjoy the Memorial Weekend with lots of blooms.
Evelyn, what you want is the nutrient mix to add to your compost and peat moss to make blocking mix. The organic blocking mix is ready-to-use, you don’t add anything to it.. Here is the link for the nutrient mix: http://www.thegardenersworkshop.com/product/diy-blocking-mix-nutrient/

I time my seed starting so the mini block goes into the ground- super efficient!

No rule— enter the seed name in a search engine and ask that question. It’s a big deal-
